"Does anyone know the details of the licening IO has with the disk manufacturers?"

My understanding is that the licensing agreement with MCI is the only licensing agreement Iomega has made. All other OEMs, such as Epson (drives), Maxell, Sony, Fuji (disks) actually buy products from Iomega and resell them under their own brand names, although in some cases they are actually doing the manufacturing themselves. I got this information from Iomega's PR firm.

Iomega is making good money on all Zip drive and disk sales.

Here's another thought. I disagree with those who advise that one should not buy IOMG until after the next earnings report. There is no fundamental reason why the stock should go much lower between now and then. And if the activity leading up to the Q2 report is anything to judge by, there may be a rally starting two days before the next report.

It's unlikely that a "bad" Q3 report would cause much of a price drop, as a bad third quarter is already reflected in the current trading ranges. On the other hand, if the Q3 report surprizes on the upside, then the day after the report will be a little too late to buy in.

I would get in at least three or four days before the Q3 report, unless there is official word from Iomega indicating that they think Q3 earnings will be lower than consensus estimates.

Alas, I won't be able to come up with the cash to do that myself, but I am sure going to be holding firm until then. I wouldn't dream of selling in the next month.
