The number everyone wants is 4 trillion. Not extending the bush tax cuts last year could have prevented that. All he had to do was veto it. Not vetoing those bush tax cuts has set up this entire check mate of Obama.

That was obama's pocket aces and he threw the hand away!? One trillion he added right there plus the worry. Had he vetoed it we would be climbing out of our hole and everthing would be moot except the jobs problem at hand. Simple compared to worldwide default and economic collapse.

And he might have won that fight as well in the end.

He traded a threat of extending unemployment for a worldwide debacle! Krugman and Stiglitz saw that I am sure.

How simple. What bush, FDR, JFK, LBJ or Clinton would have done!

Now look at the contortions and dangers. Do the problems seem better now than when he extended the Bush tax cuts.

As mentioned that was just help fo rthe poor. Lot so ways he could have helped that one.
