Might be a good time to start considering TBT.

Seems likely that a ratings downgrade will happen regardless of whether a debt ceiling deal is reached. But since it seems that a deal will be reached, TBT will probably fall when it happens as all traders breathe a sigh of relief. That in my estimation would be the time to buy it for a downgrade is inevitable. Hell, if anyone is thinking logically, a deal that does not deal with debt in a fairly significant manner is a good reason by itself to issue a downgrade.

Gold of course is likely to fall when a deal is made. It should thereafter rebound when a downgrade is announced.

Is there any way to ultra-short politicians?
