Could it be that since the President knows raising the debt ceiling really is just house keeping, and will get done in Washington, he is merely making fools out of the GOP House? He is drawing them out to show how far they will go in support of their extreme philosophy. The contrast is indeed stark. Dem Congress critters have all but disappeared and we get these nonstop gibberish sound bites from the bozo hero du jour, telling how he can't possibly agree to allow your children to eat since that might require a few cents in tax money from some joker who will never lack a meal in his life. He has effectively typecast these opponents in a way that the public cannot misunderstand. I wanna believe its brilliant politics, over a year before the next pres election. I think he is a master of rope-a-dope in a target rich environment.
