Thanks for the news

Greetings Shlomi

Rockwell announced joint development of hdsl2 with orctf today @ 8:00 am in usa.
7 1/2 hours after your post...

As they seem to have been working together all along, am choosing to believe the delay in announcement due to orctf holding out for their $ fair share <g>

Rockwell, Harris and Fujitsu... not a bad trio for orctf silicon partners.

Orctf and Siemens would fit the German theme for vdsl.... <g>

Orctf maybe signing with large distributer in us and europe is also both intriguing and promising... Consumer market? Lots of room for speculation...

Bet you're right about ecilf eying orctf's adsl (and maybe vdsl and hdsl?). Know orctf did some contract work for them some time back, and orctf seems to be giving them some competition in the european hdsl market. Today's rok announcement would seem to make orctf all that more formidable in the hdsl arena...

Do you know who makes ecilf's hdsl silicon?

On a rockwell tangent.. they recently picked up comstream with whom orctf developed the CM701 digital satellite modem, which "has been recognized by the industry as a de facto standard to which other satellite modems are measured." (orctf/comstream recieved a 1996 BIRD foundation award for the product). orctf satellite stuff?... maybe again one of these days... <g>

and orctf seems to be in a 1000 line adsl trial in the Netherlands...

Maybe the european adsl market is moving more quickly than usa. US telecom procurement paralysis?

Thanks again,
