Also the "greens" don't want us to build these long distance transmission lines either as they will "disturb" the views from some nearby national parks.

You have these kind of people, too? I must admit that at this point my "greeniness" stops. I am for new transmission lines if need be, and if tortoises are in the way of a PV plant #msg-27524851 some NGO should find a group of volunteers to relocate them.
