Does it matter what Bruce Bartlett wrote?

No one is suggesting that taxes ought to be raised, much less raised by 3% of the GDP, which is the "gap" that Bartlett is pointing out.

Even Democrats never say "tax hike," preferring instead to say "revenue component."

That's a "victory" to you?
