To survive savers must become speculators... and speculators by definition are gamblers... as are often those who perpetrate scams (gambling they will get away with it)... and those who fall for scams, trying to get a deal that is just too good to be true. Still, the leaders effect the climate of the country... and based on their performance and inferred integrity, so far, the forecast is somewhere between troubled and dire.
