Another down day, and I continue to pull from the new lows list. In for a very very few shares of VMC - Vulcan Materials. Attraction for me is their large number of local operations, the now low p/stated bv and low p/sales. Issues are many. Unknown when construction market will recover decently. A very out-of-favor stock it seems to me. P/stated bv has declined in each of past four years. Stock may drop much further. Or be worth less to me if bv keeps falling. I'm in for a tracking position, will add a bit more as it continues to fall. Just a very small overall commitment. Some pro value investors may still be in it: gurufocus.com finance.yahoo.com
