Typically the stock has some ammount of volatility but if you look at the chart MSFT will usually hit a downside wall and not go any lower i.e. look at the recient sell off. MSFt did not get hit nearly as much as many others. I would guess there will be a big run up prior to the release of WIN 98 simular to the Win 95 release. The stock went up to 120 and sold off on the news trading down to 80 and bounced around 90-100 for a year then took off to 150, then split, and then kept going until it doubled again then sold back to where it is now. My guess is that the stock will do a 3 for 2 split at around the April earnings. The stock may double again because of the very small float (300 million) that is availablle for trade.However the market cap will be very high. I do not track PE when it comes to MSFT. It just does not compute!!!
