No, in 1937 FDR didn't pull back at all. Only thing that happened was the bill came due.

Keynesians are trying to revise history and say that FDR should have gone deeper into debt. But the New Deal was still in full force.

Like I said, the New Deal didn't do jack to lift the economy out of the Great Depression. Only WWII did.
