People die on Rainier almost every year. I used to think I wanted to climb it, but those days are over. BTW, got an item you might be interested in. The Stever stove. It's a simple alcohol stove. 1.5 oz of fuel boils 2 cups of water in 5 mins. I bought a couple from the guy makes them for $9.00 each shipped. They burn methyl alcohol and are incredibly light. If I wuz a backpacker, I'd have one in my pack in an instant. Taking this little puppy with me to the Canookian Rockies later next week.
