Doug,

HSBS is still a dominant bank in HK but its dominance may diminish. That said, it's still a good investment.

Are you talking about CITIC headed by Larry Yung? If so, its actually getting less "red" now. It used to be directly under the Chinese government but Yung bought back much of the shares. It is said that he wants more independence.

Do you know why HK is down today?
