No it's not...the large majority wants compromise, not stuff you can't do.

My prediction is, that because of its intransigence, the tea party will get nothing out of this...possibly not even spending cuts...why? because if agreement is not reached on a bill the two chambers will have little choice but to give obama a clean ceiling...not the ideal outcome for the country, and the teapers will have caused it.

If amendments are designed to completely (most likely scenario) gut the bill, it will be obvious as to which party wants a balanced budget.

If you are still talking about a constitutional amendment you are dreaming...
