Or we could pass a law that says everyone has to work with just one hand. Let's make it the left hand. No one can use the right hand, just the left. That should put even more people back to work. Wait. Better yet, let's have all right hands surgically removed, so there's no cheating. Talk about shovel ready! It'll take 10 one-handed guys with shovels to do what a single two-handed shoveler used to do. By God, everyone will have a job! We'll be rich! [Tip o' the hat to Bastiat.]
