Uncle!....I know that the b-grade movie "barbwire" is a gambit....I know that you know......So I guess I will spill the beans.
There is a high security nuclear waste depository a few hundred miles from where I live. It is where most of the world sends their highly radioctive waste to be stored until a perminant site is built some time in the year ...ah...ah....never.
Anyhow, several years ago the entire facility was protected with retinal scan security. I guess there were many spys from Middle Eastern States wanting to steal putonium.....hanging around the gates , offering bribes, littering,and stuff like that........The guards ran then off.....so they thought!
Well......just a few months later....ranchers in the area began to notice that large numbers of their cows were turning up with only one eye. Yes!....Someone, under the cover of night, was collecting bovine eyeballs! It turns out that ANY bovine eyeball would create a false positive with the retinal scan system. The government did what they could to keep the story quiet.....but it was of no use. The fact that over 60% of cows within a 100 mile radius of the facility had eye patches, but no pirate head scarfs, or earings....... made the public suspicious.
I do not know how the situation has been resolved, as the local people who were so alarmed because the security of the facility was at risk are all dead now from various highly unusual cancers.
So you see, Buck...any cow can tell you that fingerprinting is better than retinal scaning.......Heck, they can see it with one eye closed.
