I thought that the Tea Party holding Obama hostage was a glimmer of hope, but who knows.

It is the first positive thing I have seen.

Is it too late?

Maybe.

It is very odd for me to say this because (1) I don't subscribe to the Tea Party at all, though I was very helpful (will not say 'instrumental') in getting one of the freshmen started on political career and (2) I am otherwise pessimistic.

Is this a baby step towards a long difficult period of correction for the US? Maybe. Maybe not. Too early to tell.

However, if there is no move to get rid of the hold banksters and corporations have on power, no significant change can happen. Also, if your last name is not "Volcker" or "Walker," the influence of Ivy League economists has to be reduced, especially if they are recipients, along with Gore and Arafat, of Nobels. That is the other leg of the challenge we face. We not only need to correct our finances but we also need to reduce the influence of the banksters, corporations and self-proclaimed elite economists who have been a plague on our house.

It is a tall order. Though it finally appears that Joe and Jane 6P finally 'get' the fiscal problems, correcting them may not be doable and, if not, The Script applies.
