It's basically about aborting girls, especially in patriarchal cultures like those in Asia. It's leading to an imbalance in the male-female ratio.

To deal with the shortages of eligible women, some men in those countries are resorting to "mail-order brides" from SE Asia. Many if not most of these wives are abused.

Demand for said brides is causing the price to skyrocket, which then motivates more poor families to give up their girls for said servitude.

The consequences of "choice." Something the so-called feminists didn't see coming ...
