"Believe they burned their bridges with FM. The PR says Bateman will use "contract test facilities" in their development work but I have no idea what or where they are."

Alan: The other day, someone (I believe it was Matt) mentioned something about writing a book about IPM. The whole FM affair would probably make a good chapter.

Maybe when the book is written, it will answer a question that never seemes to have been answered about FM. Remember the Stuffy article came out questioning whether FM even existed. Then the next Stuffy article came out acknowledging FM existed, but in an interview with the owner of FM, the owner was quoted to say something like, "IPM? I don't have anything to do with those assholes."

The spin put on the 2nd Stuffy article by the pro-IPM forces was, "Good news, Stuffy acknowledges FM exists!" Nobody wanted to discuss the question of why the owner of FM claimed he didn't have anything to do with IPM.

It would be an interesting chapter to read. Right after the "Suddenly Too Expensive Auric Fire Assay," Chapter and right before the "What Happened to Behre Dolbear, Formerly the Best Mining Consulting Firm in the World, But Now Not Available to Sign a Press Release?" Chapter.
