Chinu, I've been so busy but life is starting to settle down, for the moment;-)

I don't have a good pulse because I've been too busy to go to the diners where all this is fleshed out every morning;-)

You've inspired me to make a point of having bkfst in one of them later this week.

I spend much time right now in an upstate, NY community which is a mix of D's and foxnews R's...one problem is that the foxnews R's passionately rinse/repeat what they hear there, making a dialogue impossible...because it's such a small town, everyone is more concerned about local Albany politics and people generally do put friendship and getting along before political arguments. Or at least have learned to do so...

Since the state is the biggest employer in the area, the heated arguments are between state workers and the small business folk....each comprised of a mix of Ds and Rs. Rs are loathe to give up their taxpayer funded cadillac health and pension plans and tread very carefully or avoid the topic....it's the first time I've lived in this kind of town where this dynamic.
