Paul, I saw my AMD friend tonight and he said that their "window (of opportunity) is closing." He said that their problems haven't been solved yet and if they haven't when the board meets in December, the s*** will hit the fan. I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea. He still says that the probem IS a production problem and NOT a demand problem. He wasn't a happy camper. I suggested that a buyout might be a good alternative. He didn't disagree and we agreed that IBM would be a good possibility. He also mentioned "the Koreans" but he didn't seem to like that idea. FWIW. Barry
