Liberals view Big Oil as completely evil. A few even want to nationalize the oil industry. Hardly any liberal wants to see Big Oil succeed and make tons of money.

That's an absurd comparison...asking obscenely profitable american companies to pay a fair share of taxes is hardly wishing for their failure...who wants to nationalize oil companies? what crackpot isolated instance of non sense motivates you to say something so libelous and fundamentally untrue?

Don't tell me that's not "cheering their failure" if you think conservatives pointing out poor sales of the Chevy Volt is "cheering for the failure of GM."

I will tell you precisely that...a rational argument can be made that big oil can and should pay higher taxes...an argument can be made that insurance companies take a profit from a sector that represents the single largest financial liability the country faces in the coming century....there is no conflict with national interests when a company like GM succeeds...in fact it's the opposite....but conservatives bash the company at every chance and cheer for its demise...radio personalities like limbaugh launch national campaigns to boycott the company...it's irrational, partisan borderline treasonous behavior...it's disgusting
