Skeeter:TXN is in down trend short term, but I think TXN will beat MU
eventually or spank MU enentually at DRAM market if TXN can utilize its manufacture muscle ramp up 64MB quickly.
To my understanding, MU has very little to complete in 0.18-0.25um
process area with TXN, and TXN is ready to ramp its 64 MB DRAM in its
every advanced DRAM fabs. If yield can improve quickly, TXN can afford
for $2/M, still makes profit. I do not think MU can afford that
with it 16MB process. And TXN is working on its 256MB and 12" wafer as well.
So, in the long run, TXN will spank MU, but TXN can not afford wait
to long for that to happen.
Or, TXN can sell its DRAM fabs for a very good deal. may be to MU.

>> TI's strength lies
within it's ability to generate products in VOLUME!<<

this is their biggest WEAKNESS! mu bends txn over and absolutely spanks them in the commodity, high
volume dram market. mu makes $100 million and txn is bleeding cash in dram.
