It has nothing to do with crumbs falling down, it has to do with creating opportunity. If people can keep more of their wealth from investment, or their income from hard work with skills in high demand, then they will work and invest more and create wealth. Even if they pocket most of the extra wealth they create (which typically is not what happens), what's left is a benefit for other people. More often the benefits are more wide spread, often with only a small fraction of the total benefits going to the worker, investor, or entrepreneur. (That is assuming they don't get some government protection or handout, but in those cases it would be better to protest the protection or handout, then to complain - "OMG, they are so rich, that's unfair")
