Please name a couple of the "loopholes" you want to do away with.

Look stupid, any system that sets a statutory earnings tax rate of 35% but results in a company like Exxon or others pay taxes in the order of 17% and in some years much lower is fraught with problems...anywhere from registering rigs to setting up shell headquarters in foreign countries to claiming questionable deductions...

Domestic energy companies paid some 500 Billion in corporate income taxes (F&S) over the period 1977-2004, according to the Tax Foundation -- on pre-tax profits of about 1.1 Trillion. You can presumably do the arithmetic.

No you do the math dummy....that would equate to 45% tax rate...somebody is taking some serious liberties with the numbers or you are pulling them out of your ass again...you claim that i don't understand...i say you are a pathetic serial liar...
