crs,

You are still only talking about phone to phone long-distance when you talk about IDTC. I'm saying that there are other markets in IP telephony besides long-distance. So someone wanting to invest in IP telephony may buy IDTC if they want to invest in IP for long-distance, and buy INTL if they want to invest in IP based PBXes, and buy NSPK if they want to invest in call-centers off IP, buy NMSS if they want a hardware manufacturer that makes hardware to build gateways for IP telephony, buy VOXW if they want to invest in voice-compression technology used for IP telephony (these are all just examples, there are others in the sectors too) etc. IDTC is playing mainly in one sector of IP telephony, the public long-distance sector. Its competition is going to come from AT&T, MCI, BT, DT etc. And the others aren't scurrying to capture the data market only, they're just going after the voice market in slightly different worlds (as well as long-distance). And don't worry, you will see competition. It is just that the competition will come from AT&T, MCI etc.

Please, don't take what I am saying as negative to IDTC. I just think you are closing your eyes to the other sectors in IP telephony beyond public long-distance - as is your right. But I don't want other people reading this thread to think that long-distance is the only thing going in IP telephony.

BTW, I'm sorry if I misled people by saying IDTC is making money. As of today, YAHOO is still saying they have negative earnings. I don't know where I got the positive earnings bit. Shows you that you have to use DD in your research on companies.
