Tim, thanks for the link. IMHO the best Kurlakism was the following:

"He also repeated a previous comment, that it is 'too late to sell, too soon to buy' semiconductor stocks."

That's quite a pearl of wisdom. Lucid, precise, unambiguous.

A thoroughly Kurlakian bit of prose.

From reading the Smart Moneyarticle one gets the feeling TK is aware of the fact that sub-1000 PC's exist and the fact that a PC costing less than $1,000 is cheaper than a PC costing $2,000; so give credit where credit is due.

I didn't see the report, but I wonder if there's any mention of the fact that INTC's recent MPU pricing strategy seems to be maintaining price points at the high-end server/workstation segment while responding to the emerging trends in the low-end segment? Any discussion of potential differences in price elasticity across segments which would make it possible to sacrafice margins for income in certain segments?

Oh, sorry...I forgot. "The semiconductor group" is just one big monolithic entity. The players in the DRAM industry are basically identical to the guys making modem chipsets, so why even bother trying to tell the difference? <g>

Good trading,

Tom
