I'm sure that the program as a whole is massively unprofitable at this point, and probably will always be so. Include the development cost, and the marketing campaign, and other costs to launch a new model, and I don't think the Volt can ever pay back the costs. But do you think they are increasing the loss with each additional sale, that the marginal cost of an additional unit is greater than what GM can get for the car? That if they sold a lot they would be "taking a loss on each one and trying to make up for it with volume"?
