>> Its you teapers who refused to raise revenues.

You mean taxes, don't you?

The S&P said they wanted increased revenues......let the damn Bush tax cuts expire. Your teaper leaders refused. The stupidity of the Bush years continues.........and you will not be happy until the country runs into the ground.

But more importantly they wanted to see a government that can work together and compromise.........something you leaders also were not willing to do. Its all hear in their prepared text:

"The credit rating agency, which suggested another downgrade was possible within two years, was scathing in its rebuke of the U.S. political class after Sunday’s $2.4-trillion (U.S.) deficit reduction deal. It stated that that the
“brinksmanship of recent months highlights what we see as America’s governance and policymaking becoming less stable, less effective and less predictable.”"

When will you people ever learn?
