Analysts are split on this. some say this downgrade has already been factored in with the consistent drop in the DOW for 8 of the 9 days culminating in a 500 point drop yesterday. Others say that S&P rating is not worth that much since they missed the Lehman Brothers and the swoon of the financial markets in 2008.

This downgrade makes US look very bad in the eyes of the world similar to when it was hit by terrorist on 9/11. Then, the world sympathized with the US on 9/12. I wonder if the feelings of the world will be similar for this downgrade. I suppose if we had the 4 billion deal that Obama asked instead of the 2 billion deal then S&P would have acted differently.

Shocking that the Republican Presidential aspirants are already rejoicing at the downgrade by denouncing Obama. And Limbaugh on Monday will be ready to declare "The US president has failed."
