Ted the honest truth is spending keeps going up, and the left, and even "moderate Democrats" in office, would have a fit if anyone started to seem to take the idea of actual spending cuts seriously.

One more time, Tim, and then I suggest you get a better source for your info because you are wrong. Obama offered $4 trillion in cuts.....most from spending cuts; some from revenue raises. He even was willing to cut benefits from SS and Medicare.........raise the retirement age to 69 or 70. Boehner walked away from the proposal..........worse, he refused to return the phone call of the POTUS. Blowing off the POTUS is not done........Boehner did it. You really need to get your facts straight. Until you do, don't bother to post to me. Its a waste of time.

And let me remind you that the only time in the last 30 years, the US has had budget surpluses was under a Dem president. That is a fact.
