I was speaking with Aconis tech support I was advised, when I create backup images in Windows 7, you must back up the SYS partition as well as your C:

When you restore your C: partition, you have to restore the SYS partition as well. But not the MBR, only if you are installing to a new HDD. BUT another phone call and another tech siad you HAVE to restore the MBR.

I was also advised that True Image and Iomega drives conflict and they don't recommend using them. I found this out today, a 500 GB drive worked, but a 1 TB Iomega drive hung and would not create an image.

So clear as mud?
