Much to his dismay! He rejects the race of his white mother and grand-parents. He only identifies as black. You have to feel a little sorry for someone so conflicted by that kind of mixing of the races. His mother didn't feel that pain, and her parents didn't feel it either. She is to blame for the man's misery and hatred, but we all get to pay the price. .
