OFFTOPIC - NEC Monitors The confusion may be that NEC decided several years ago that they needed low-end monitors to compete in the volume business. They still make quality monitors, but there are so many model numbers, I don't know anymore which are which. If you buy on price, you are probably OK: low price=low quality. I've bought Viewsonic for affordability, but it has never had the image sharpness of a NEC. I won't buy SONY anymore because I hate their service policies.
