Hi Ron, I received my answer from EaseUS. These "guys" on really great. Here's what they wrote:

Thanks for using our product. According to your description, we believe the partition you mentioned is the system partition or preserved partition in Windows 7. If so, it certainly need to be backed up/recovered along with the C drive in case of Windows MBR corrupt or hard disk failure. If we can be of further assistance, please reply to this message.
