Of course it doesn't, but it does rate the aggregate economic conditions and corresponding credit worthiness produced by the entire nation, including the actions of those who are elected to represent them. Far too many of those representatives are affirmative action token idiots who don't know their asses from hole in the ground, yet they're making decisions that affect us all. S&P informed you of the outcome of that.

Buddy, everyone knows who lends support to the nation's AAA status, as well as who weighs the nation down toward junk status.

I've said for many years that the AAA-class citizens cannot indefinitely carry the dead weight of the D-class citizens up the hill of life in perpetuity. S&P's decision completely justifies that long-held view. -ng-

There is little now that the declining population of high-quality citizens can do to ameliorate the presence of undesirables, much less to mask their toxic presence. The country is forever ruined.
