Looks like you are right.

Wetherspoon has shut a number of pubs in problem areas. Eddie Gershon, spokesman for Wetherspoon said: " The Great Harry in Woolwich has been completely destroyed and burnt down. The main thing is that no staff or customers have been injured.This is a terrible situation."

I'm surprised, I would have thought best to keep um open and the customers satiated. These are mainly kids though, and it is entirely opportunistic.

This kind of stuff happened in the 1960's. It will be novel for a while and then become tiresome when the police start routinely carting the troublemakers off to prison.

imho.

Junior and his pals won't like it if Dad can't go to the pub as it's closed, and if the pub is burnt down... well I don't think these riots will be going on for much longer. A different kind of riot maybe.
