Cash went up 4 times in value in Japan from 1990 to 2001...and appreciated 300% in eleven years in terms of how many shares of Japanese stock it could buy.

If you believe in deflation CAD $ will likely have similar appreciation...and the saying 'cash is trash' will not hold true.

If you believe in inflation then you are likely right....
