I don't know why you blame both sides. Maybe it is me who needs to know the details of what was agreed to. But from what I know, I thought that the agreement had spending cuts including those for Medicare. What it did not have was the raising of revenues through increased taxes. It was very reassuring to learn from Obama yesterday that for the bipartisan commission, he is also ready to agree on cuts to Medicare in exchange for raising taxes as a source for revenue. What we need in America is an Israeli type of revolution that is in progress where the Israelis have decided to sink their political ideologies for the sake of saving their country. And if would take a Jewish type of genocide for Americans so that they start doing what Israelis are doing, then so be it. It looks like 9/11 was not sufficient. Maybe that is what the Israelis can show the US on how to love their country in return for all the dollars we have poured into Israel.
