Of course, adjusted for real inflation, gold has a lot farther to go to the upside. Most likely into the 2500 area at a minimum.

Adjusted for the change in the Western World money supplies (measuring it against the various fiat currencies), gold could go as high as 10,000 to 12,000 per ounce, so in the end, it probably will see da_Cheif's 5000 number or more.
