And then continue it later as an effort to build a "nation"? Did we push thru off budget funding for these wars/revenge effort/nation building stuff with funds borrowed from the Communist Chinese. Did we push thru a major increase in Entitlements, yes one needed to provide drugs for our elderly, but never fund it? And were we spending idle time in Crawford cutting bushes, catching bass while the housing market with its high employment along with the Wall Street "mischief" was self destructing? And when it hit the fan were we the ones that had dug the financial ditch so deep with the above that when we needed Government spend to save our/the world's financial system and keep the GDP from exceeding minus 9% and employment above Depression levels and now we had very little of our own funds when we now needed it? OK, I know what we can do now to "fix" things...let's have a lot of Wisconsins all over the country with a big teabagger austerity programs so we can end up with Londons, Birminghams and Liverpools all over the place. But not too worry...We got the world's largest "Defense" Budget greater than the rest of the world combined so we can easily keep the fires and street/gun violence in our cities to a "minimum" with our, battle hardened troops, new F35s and missile defense systems. And if this happens, we should be blamed for letting your crowd get away with this treason.
