You wanna know stress... If you're an adrenalin junky or have problems with low blood pressure, try trading SI silver futures options. Each contract is valued at 5000 Oz's of the metal and it's not uncommon to have $1/Oz trading range in any given day (these days) and these spikes can happen in moments timeframe. Not for the feint of heart, indeed.

My objection to leveraged ETF's is the rebalancing the fund manager periodically. This cuts the value of the fund WRT to the underlying. So, right you are that you can't hold those things because of the similar time decline in value - much like options.
