If you look closely at the picture at the top of that that article, you'll see why the Italian restaurateurs are so terrified of serving these guys at lunch. They eat very quickly and then take off with the red and white chequered tablecloths when no one is looking. I proposed to the restaurateurs that they use tablecloths with huge pics of J Lo's bottom on them, so the Saudi's would look thoroughly fashionable ....... but it's so hard to break custom in Europe. Those black rings are the synthetic trivets used to hold hot pans on lunch tables. They are now in short supply all over and there is no end of ruined tabletops.
