It was a huge waste of money and time. Many people on local news were angry they had to vote again...we do not want retaliation recalls in Wisconsin Paul V was talking about the length to which the progressives would go to get their way. I think that these recall elections are an example of what he is talking about. They have a kind of scorched earth approach to politics. It certainly was a huge waste of money and time. The conservatives have a disadvantage in that they believe in playing by the rules. A silver lining......At a certain point, your run of the mill middle class progressive isn't going to have anymore spare cash to give as political donations. I get all of the moveon.org emails begging for cash. There's pretty much a new one every other day. When it comes time for the 2012 election, I'm thinking they will have already pissed away their discretionary funds on things like the Wisconsin election. I think that obama's goals of $1B are high when put in this context.
