Re: Markets this week...............

I don't feel too badly today. The big indexes were off 4+% while here at VIEW our worst portfolio fell about 2%. Income portfolios fell the least at around 1.1% while international equity portfolios fell the most at 2.0%.

My very best portfolio was the currency balancing portfolio. It only dropped 0.40% and hasn't budged much from its all time high. It pays a modest income as well (but less than 1%/yr). I've taken profits in the Swiss Franc and the Yen in the last week.

So, although I don't enjoy seeing the markets getting bashed daily, it's been okay redeploying some of the cash reserves. In the equity portfolios I think the only sector that I've not bought in so far is Consumer Staples. I guess toilet paper is still selling well as people soil themselves watching CNBC!

Best regards, Tom
