Sure, the Obama administration came into office with goals of raising energy prices, shutting down coal plants, preventing new nuclear plants by closing the nuclear waste depository and this area is where they've accomplished the most: "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe." Energy Secretary Chu, 2008 "No coal plants here in America. Build them, if they're going to build them, over there (China). Make them clean." Joe Biden, 2008 "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. ..... So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can — it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted." Obama, 2008 (while he didn't get cap and trade he's going to use new EPA regulations to accomplish the same goals)
