8/12/11 Contest Update
Just back from Vegas where the gamblers seemed far more sober than those on Wall St.
At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -2.73% YTD (vs. down - 3.13% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median was down -7.85% YTD (vs. down -8.30% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was down -5.46% YTD (vs. down -4.54% YTD a week ago).
GENE’s portfolio (up 50.80 % YTD) is still in the lead, with JIBAC’s portfolio (up 35.21%YTD) taking over second place and ROCKY’s portfolio (up 32.36% YTD) moving into third place.
At Friday's close, 13 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the black, while 16 of the 38 were beating the NBI.
