Prefered the term "Flash Robs " when caught this same piece over a week ago, as the tactic has migrated from Las Vegas & Philly, east to DC & up to Canada...http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=27547478&srchtxt=flash

Flash Robs have become commonplace tactic out here in the West with gangs as also noted in the post and we still have drive by shootings & murders happening everyday as well and the situation is going bad to worse . Actually we're potentially alot worse off than England and perhaps just one shooting away if one remembers the LA riots which could be revisted again in an instant . State & local budgets have been so squeezed knocked down the numbers of police due to cutbacks already and the state of California is in a Prison crisis already that simply dwarfs Britain #'s of incarcerations ....not just California .

To say that the courts , privatized prisons & judicial system is a mess is a catastrophic understatement , its one of the leading indicators that this is a doomed system & has been for years . The financial crisis only mirrors the neglect of the sickness of our cities & the distractions perpetrated since 9/11 on our failed "world policing" efforts while US cities & states are all nearly BK.
(Bankrupt in more ways than one ...)

* Note the next post of the consumer credit & borrowing stats are up in June by most in 4 years & yet US consumer spending also went negative for 1rst time in 20 mos , also posted earlier that week . If you weren't short the market Aug 1-8 one should have been . This phenom has all the makings of going global from abject neglect of the Homeland ... our cities are also "ripe"
