Rick Perry comes out on the wrong side of the amnesty issue with regards to illegals [1]. Consequently, I would NEVER vote for him.
The fact of the matter is that illegal immigration is ILLEGAL. It more-than-boggles one's mind to know that illegals parade into our country and draw Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, free education, in-state college preference points, free housing, welfare, unemployment benefits, the right to vote, business licenses, business grants, and drivers licenses. Meanwhile, they dodge taxes and commit high rates of violent crimes that typically go unpunished.
What's the solution? Well, I used to strongly favor a border fence coupled with aggressive deportation, but upon deeper thought and reflection, I now perceive the border fence as a colossal waste of tax dollars.
Damnit! Eliminating illegal immigration is NOT a rocket science problem!!!
The real solution is to require anyone who...
- engages in any form of commerce, business, contract, education, or employment
- rents an apartment, buys a home, or leases property
- interacts with the government at any level, in any way, shape or form
... to verify U.S. citizenship.
Whether someone buys a measly candy bar in a convenience store, applies for a driver's license, or goes to the emergency room he must be required to prove citizenship.
Hell, I have had to prove my citizenship for my entire life, and I look exactly like a direct descendant of President Washington, as red-white-and-blue as the day is long. I have always had to prove I was born in the United States, as I'm sure most Americans have.
What kind of f'd up system requires obvious Americans to verify who we are, while turning a blind-eye to illegal Mestizo invaders on the basis of the race card?!?!? I'm sick of that!
Instead of that insane approach, this should be the law... When someone is carded and is expediently determined by ICE to be in this country illegally, everything in his possession on this side of the border must be confiscated and he must be confined and deported immediately. No exceptions! Oh, and he does NOT receive his money and shit back later. That would all be auctioned and used to pay for the wide-array of problems that illegals cause in the United States.
I guarantee you that after a few hundred illegals lose everything in their possession on this side of the border, we would witness a mass exodus back to Mexico and the remainder of Central America. The smattering of illegals that go underground and remain in the United States would be rooted out and dealt with over time.
Just cut them off, take their money and property, and send them home empty-handed! That would eliminate the problem! No fence is necessary.
We know why Democrats won't pursue this issue, but why won't Republicans pursue it? Why do they tip-toe around the issue and refuse to protect the sovereignty of the United States?
Oh, and regarding businesses, landlords, and anyone else who subsidizes or harbors illegals, they should be heavily fined and given stiff prison sentences.
If I were in charge of this insane asylum, I would order all illegals shot on sight for trespassing, and I would order anyone who aids and abets them to be tried and executed. Enough already! Let's eliminate this problem once and for all. -ng-
