Why so worked up about it? Have you checked yourself for envy? <Nothing stinks in my nostrils quite the same as idle rich people who think they are something when they are not. > Rich idle people who think they are great are at worst faintly irritating. I have known a few and if anything they get a bit of sympathy from me. It can be quite hard work being rich. For a start, there is the problem of hanging onto it. Then there's the existential torment about what to do. Simple hedonism is not known for being particularly satisfying.

They are not even slightly a problem in the normal course of events. They eat their caviar and drink their Bollinger or what have you, drive their flash cars and occupy their expensive houses and discuss Italian marble decor or something.

You would remember Centrepoint [the building in London which remained unoccupied for years] and no doubt gnashed your teeth over it.

Nothing stinks in my nostrils so much as thieves who dress themselves up as good guys, "squatting" in other people's property and voting to rob them with government agents to do the dirty work. Rich people are fine by me. Even idle. They probably are something compared with the low lifes like Joe Strummer [who I have never heard of but let's take you at your word].

Amusing that you think the bad guys are good and I think they are bad. But they are in good company. The self-dealing expense claiming politicians are as bad. I suppose people go on voting for them because birds of a feather and all that. The politicians take their cut off the top and pass on the spoils to the electorate who keep the game going [until the serfs resist or escape].

<So… your political garble means little to me, I know what the real crooks sound like, and all decent people need to focus their attention on them at all times. Your odd notions of what type of human being is better than the next is also deeply flawed imho. > That's the way the discussion goes. You think the servants owe you a living and I think the slaves should be freed. You will reach for a baseball back to enforce your slave terms. We the People will resist. See you on the battlefield. We the People always have the numbers and freedom from serfitude as our fuel. You have only greed and envy on your side. I know what the real crooks sound like and all decent people need to focus their attention on them at all times. Your odd notion of property rights and what makes one type of human better than the next is deeply flawed imho.

TJ will be rubbing his hands with glee.
